Every route in our library goes through a rigorous verification process with real-world drivers. We don't publish anything we haven't driven ourselves or had trusted community members drive within the last 12 months.
Years of overland experience distilled into three things every driver should know before hitting an unfamiliar route.
No route ever goes exactly as planned. Build in buffer days, carry extra fuel and water beyond your calculated needs, and always have an alternate exit route mapped. The best overlanders are adaptable — they embrace the detour.
A capable driver in a modest rig beats an inexperienced driver in a heavily modified one. Before departing, know your ground clearance, approach and departure angles, tyre pressures for different terrain types, and recovery procedures cold.
Recovery gear, a quality comms device, first aid kit, and enough food and water for 3 days beyond your plan — these aren't optional luxuries. Also: download your maps offline before you lose signal, because you will lose signal.
